On this page you will find an overview of our products with their parameters, comparisons and examples of use. Two people are behind these products: hardware - Jan OK2ZAW/QRO.cz brand and software - Mike DM5XX.

The concept of all our controllers is the same. The controller contains simple code with only basic functions and all the rest of the logic and functions are in the web interface, which is stored on our server and is regularly maintained. Adding new functions is thus completely independent of the user. The user does not have to upload any new code to the controller. Just refresh (CTRL+F5, Command+R) the web page. It is also possible to program a custom web interface without having to intervene in the controller code.

Remote control of our controllers is possible in three basic ways: the Classic User Interface (UI looks like the RF controller front panel), Beam Map UI (user generated Azimuthal Map with control buttons) and finally other elements like Stream Deck, NodeRed etc

In our UIs you can easily change many things like colours, font sizes, button labels etc. You can also group buttons into a switch (one of X).

Types of our products

Our RC products can be divided into two groups - those with manual plus IP controls and those with pure IP controls.

Easy Controllers

Easy Controllers (REMOTE version) are control boxes with the possibility of manual control - rotary switch/buttons - with an added IP remote module. These control boxes can thus be used for control directly in the ham shack, but can also be controlled remotely. In the case of remote control, an additional 8 outputs can also be used to switch external devices (fan, light, etc.).

These devices contain PTT HOT switch protection. All Easy Controllers except EC 6-2 can be controlled using all options: classic UI, Beam Map and custom solution. Easy controller 6-2 does not allow control using Beam Map UI.

OLI IP 12, OLI IP 16 and REMOTIUS 64

These products are designed for remote control - they have no manual controls.

OLI IP 12 is directly designed to connect to our RF products: K9AY++, 4-WAY beverage system and 7ANT.
OLI IP 16 is a universal IP controller with 16 outputs and a universal output driver.
REMOTIUS 64 is a combination of both with a total of 53 outputs. It contains 4 output connectors (4 banks), where the first 3 can also be directly connected to our products: the K9AY++, the 4-WAY beverage system and the 7ANT. Bank 4 is a universal 16 output. It is possible to connect temperature sensors and display temperatures on a web page. There is also one analog input for 4SQ UI.

For all these boxes, the individual output pins can be configured as a simple ON/OFF pin, as well as grouped into 1 of X switches. In the case of interfacing with our devices, predefined profiles can be used. Alternatively, you can use these profiles for your devices with the possibility of modification in the configuration page.

All controllers also have a PTT input for indication on the web interface and PTT HOT switch protection.

Output Drivers

Some ports on some controllers have a universal output option. This mean that the output can be:

- positive - to send voltage to the output when switched on or
- negative - to switch the output to ground

This depends on the driver chip used and the correct jumper setting. More information can be found in the instruction for each product

User Interfaces

User interfaces (UI) can be divided into three groups:

- Classic UI - looks like the RF controller front panel
- Beam Map - Azimuthal map with control buttons
- Customs, Stream Deck, NodeRed etc.

Classic UI - Easy Controllers

• The web interface corresponds in appearance to the front panel of a classic control box. It allows full control of all combinations, displays PTT status and disconnects the switch on the control box when remote control is activated. In addition, eight other pins can be remotely controlled, each individually as ON/OFF. The output is universal and can be positive or negative by changing the output driver. You can thus control other elements such as the light, the fan, or switch the PA using a large external relay.

Classic UI - K9AY++, 4-WAY beverage system

• The UI again looks similar to the front panel of the RF controller. It allows you to switch direction, filters, preamp and which antenna the TRX is listening from (TX or RX only antenna).
• It is not possible to change Rload remotely.

Classic UI - TEMP sensor

• REMOTIUS 64 allows you to connect temperature sensors (18B20) and display them on a web page. Of course, it is also possible to read the values into another (your) system.
• The display is possible as part of the classic UI or on a special page for thermometers only.

Beam Map

• Beam Map is another remote control option. It is based on an automatically generated Azimuthal map with additional controls. Elements can be added as needed and connected to output pins. It is also possible to control the outputs by clicking into the map. It is possible to change many parameters in the configuration and especially to use predefined configuration files (K9AY, 4SQ - different manufacturers, 7ANT etc.).

Here are previews of the configuration interface for both classic UI and Beam Map. Much more information can be found in the tutorial - link below in the next paragraph.

Grouping

• This is an example for Classic UI how to group buttons - switch 1-of-X. You can use individual buttons as ON/OFF switch and also group them - according to your wish (within one bank).

⚠ IMPORTANT: Settings up groups represents a "programmer" designation. This means:  first button = 0, tenth button = 9, etc.

Here is an example for grouping buttons into two independent switches:
Configuration settings: [[0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7], [14, 15]]
Switch between buttons: 1 to 8 (1-of-8), the other 15 and 16 (1-of-2)

Load Config - Beam Map

• There will be article with more examples soon.
• The Beam Map can be configured in different ways. The simplest is to use the Easy Assistant (more at the end of this article), which loads preset parameters into the configuration. These can then be edited - name, pin, order, etc. It is also possible to add and remove buttons manually - this is very well described in the manual (more at the end of this article).
• Here is a sample configuration for 4SQ with upload to the editor, where it is easy to edit, for example, the button description.

Easy Assistant - the Guide

Worried about the complexity of the setup? You don't have to. Mike DM5XX has prepared Easy Assist - a setup wizard based on the purchased HW and RF controller, with the option to use the configuration files directly.

⚠ The wizard can detect the IP address of devices on the network itself, but it is possible that this may not work in some web browsers or with higher network security settings.
