This RX system improves reception, especially on the lower HF bands. It consists of a controller with bandpass filters, directional switching, a preamplifier, a variable R-load resistor for the K9AY, and an RX source switch that selects the transmit or receive antenna for listening. The controller includes several protections, an RF limiter, and a PTT splitter. You can connect an external IP control to remotely control the antenna.
The controller has a built-in AC/DC bias tee that enables the switching of antenna directions over a common coaxial cable with an RF signal.
The second component is a two-way RX switch that uses this voltage to switch between the two inputs, Port 1 and Port 2. The switch sends this control voltage to the ports, enabling further switching in the bi-directional Beverage antennas.
These are the final part of the setup. There are two antennas - both allows two directions. Bi-DIR Beverage antennas can be constructed in different ways. The antenna element can be two horizontal wires, a 450-ohm ladder line, or a coaxial cable. The antenna can be placed in the air ("classic") or on the ground ("BOG").
It is also possible to connect K9AY RX antenna to the controller. By adding another 2-way RX switch, it is possible to operate both 4 directions from the Beverage antenna and 4 directions from the K9AY. Switch the K9AY/4-WAY toggle on the rear panel or you can connect an external switch to the Remote connector.
A 12V AC power supply is required to control the entire system. AC voltage is the key thing for switching the 4 directions

Remote Control Notes
- There is NO IP/web based remote control inside the box. RJ45 connector is only for DC voltage between controller and feeder. Remote Control can be done by the DB15M connector at the rear panel. When you apply +12 to +14 V DC to direction pin at this connector, relay automatically deactivate front panel switches and you can control it over these external voltages at DB-15M Remote Control connector. All LED indicators still work. Please, read the manual.
