YAESU PTT splitter MK2 manual
This box serves as an adapter for the ACC connector called TUNER on the back of the TRX YAESU. This connector contains INH - inhibit, PTT out, 13.8V and tuner pins.
The box also contains protection circuitry to isolate the TRX from external equipment. Two independent PTT outputs switched by FET transistors, INH IN input for broadcast inhibit, LED indicator, etc. This MK2 version also has an internal jumper that allows you to select between 3 different INHIBIT input states.
RCA inputs and outputs include optical isolation to protect the TRX.

Applications
Splitter
RCA connectors
PTT OUT
- two independent PTT outputs
- output FET switch 30V DC 1A each
- LED indicator
- optocoupler isolation
- transmitting = short at RCA
INH IN
- inhibit input
- active = 3 different states - jumper
- optocoupler isolation
- inhibit = no power out
- LED indicator
INHIBIT
INHIBIT allows you to block the transmission in three different ways - setting it with an internal jumper. The options are: connecting INH to ground, unblocking INH by connecting to ground (in reverse - possibility to use your own PTT signal) and activating INH by positive voltage.
Jumper settings
- INH active when grounded
- INH deactivated when grounded
- INH activated by positive voltage
Example to use INHIBIT
An example with a device where RF power is blocked until PTT feedback occurs. Protecting the connected device (here RX Audite) from transmitting into the RX path.
⚠ NOTE: Both jumpers in right position - second jumper settings at picture - jumper settings.
Example of use with Easy Controller 6-2, where the PTT output from the controller unblocks the RF output from the TRX. This watchdog prevents transmissions where the same ANT would be accidentally selected for both TRX - Manual switching and switching from USB or Wi-Fi.
⚠ NOTE: Both jumpers in right position - second jumper settings at picture - jumper settings.
