This is a simple box with protections that allow you to connect the YAESU TRX to other peripherals via the RCA PTT connector and also includes and INHIBIT input. This version of MK2 allows you to set the INHIBIT input to 3 different input states.
Yaesu transceivers do not have the "classic" RCA PTT output connector. Connecting PA and other equipment with standard RCA PTT is often a problem.
This box uses the TUNER ACC connector on the back of the TRX, splitting the pins and providing additional protection. On the TUNER connector, in addition to the PTT output, we find the INH inhibit pin, the 13.8V output and pins for an external tuner.
In this YAESU PTT splitter box, the PTT output signal is optically separated and split into two independent outputs with RCA connectors. The optical separation protects the TRX from external interference. The PTT outputs are switched by FET transistors. The INH IN input is used to lock the transmitter. This MK2 version also has an internal jumper that allows you to select between 3 different INHIBIT input states. This makes it possible to block the transmission by connecting INH to ground, unblock INH by connecting it to ground (inverse - possibility to use your own PTT signal - more in the manual) and activate INH by using a positive voltage.
The box does not interrupt any pins, so an external TUNER can be connected to the mini-DIN connector and you will not lose this option.
The voltage on the TUNER connector is protected by a 1.1A fuse.
