This antenna switch module was developed for direct connection to the WEB-888 SDR. From the web interface of this SDR, it is possible to easily switch between 6 antennas. Of course, the switch can also be connected to another IP relay or rotary switch. For more information, see the manual.
The antenna switch has 7 inputs - why 6+1? Because 6 inputs can be switched remotely and port 0 is active when none of the six controlled ports are selected. This means that even when the switch is turned off, port 0 is still active. Ports 1 and 2 can be connected to a dummy load, open, or connected to ground. The other ports are connected to ground when not active.
Each antenna port includes protection in the form of a Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) with a surge threshold of 75V. For these protections to work, it is necessary to connect the grounding screw (GROUND ME) to a good ground. The protection also includes a SuperFuse current limiter and, most importantly, an RF limiter. Thanks to its design with transformers and SuperFuse, it limits the maximum output signal to the SDR, thus protecting the ADC or receiver input. Even when transmitting 100 W to the ANT port, the output port to the receiver will not exceed 10 dBm (10 mW). In addition, SuperFuse disconnects the circuit. This SuperFuse is resettable.
In addition, there are 4 SSR relays that can be used, for example, to power preamplifiers or active antennas. These relays are activated together with antenna ports 1, 2, 3, and then 4 or 0. These contacts allow switching up to 400 mA AC and DC. An example of use is a preamplifier for an antenna on port 1. When port 1 is selected, this contact also turns on. You can use this contact to power the preamplifier from an external source. It will only be activated when port 1 is selected.
The package includes a connection cable for WEB-888 and a mounting kit for DIN rail.
