Bias Tee BOX PLUS manual
This is a special Bias Tee BOX designed to power an active antenna, amplifier, switch or other device in the RX path via coax and DC voltage with the ability to turn off and disconnect while transmitting. In addition to the classic Bias Tee, it includes additional circuitry such as a 50kHz HPF to eliminate AC noise, an adjustable attenuator (ability to reduce signal strength from the amplifier), current and voltage protection on the RF signal (Neon lamp + GDT) and most importantly the ability to disconnect the DC voltage and short the RF input to ground during TX.

Applications
- Providing an RF signal and (DC) power to a remote device over one coax
- Disconnect DC voltage and RF while transmitting
- Great FOR: preamplifiers
Settings
1. TX OFF
- When this Jumper is connected, the function of disconnecting the RF path to ground during PTT is active
2. Bias OUT
- Bias voltage is connected to the RF connector. When the PTT is activated, the voltage is disconnected. By disconnecting the Jumper, the box acts as an RF signal disconnector and short-circuits the RF path
3. DC Voltage
- Important Jumper for setting DC voltage. The box can work with voltage around 12V or 24V
4. Attenuator
- Variable attenuator could be switched ON. You can use it in case the preamplifier in field does have too much gain
5. RF Limiter
- By connecting this Jumper, a diode RF limiter is inserted into the RF path to limit the maximum signal level - protection
