The main purpose of this box is to disconnect the RX antenna from the receiver during transmission using a PTT signal, then the receiver is protected by an RF limiter which limits the maximum signal level and also acts as a common mode filter.
A PTT signal is required to disconnect the RX antenna during transmission. To ensure that you don't lose the PTT signal output from your equipment, this box also has a PTT splitter and a RCA connector with PTT output. The whole PTT logic protects the PTT input - optically isolated - and also allows you to connect other equipment such as a PA etc.. In this way, the box also functions as a protection and separation of the PTT signal from the TRX.
The RF limiter limits the maximum signal level to the RX. This is approximately +13dBm (20mW). The intelligent SuperFuse will protect the RX even if there is a 100W signal at the input of this box and the signal from the antenna is not disconnected by the PTT signal!
